The latest report reaching us today is that the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria has officially released its much-awaited and anticipated official timetable for the 2022/2023 examination.
Candidates who are eagerly waiting for the CIPM exam for foundation, intermediate, and professional, should note that the examination has been scheduled to hold from Friday, 15th September to Saturday, 16th September 2023.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
- All interested persons should note that the CIPM Examination Registration automatically closes on Wednesday, 30th of August, 2023. Late registration starts on Thursday 31st to Sunday 3rd of September, and candidates who register late will be required to pay a penalty fee of five hundred Naira (N500.00) only.
- Candidates sitting for the CIPM examination should know that they are expected to log in to the Examination platform 30 minutes before the commencement time (i.e. 8.30 a.m.) for the necessary screening.
CIPM Examination Instructions for 2023.
- Candidates sitting for the CIPM Examination should note that the test will be administered via the internet and will require the following: A good internet connection, A computer with a functional Webcam, Exam photo card.
- It is important to also note that the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) reserves the right to reject any registration form that is not properly completed by the applicant.
- When filling out the form, ensure you select ONLINE EXAM as the Examination Centre.
- Candidates should also note that after successfully paying the Examination fees, it’s 100% non-refundable.
- Make sure information loaded by the system e.g. exam category, and resit subject (if any) are correct before proceeding to payment. You can not edit the form after submission.
- Annual dues must be paid up to date.
- It’s mandatory that candidates download their photocard (examination card), which contains the exam timetable, in PDF and save it on the laptop you would use for the online exam.
- All examination applications that you’ve successfully submitted cannot be edited or modified.
- Candidates will only be allowed to sit for the course(s) registered for.
- Deferment of any examination will not be granted except on medical grounds, supported by a medical certificate/report and a letter from the candidate’s Manager or Head of Department (if applicable).
- Before the examination commences, it is for your own good to check your internet connection (network) and battery are in good condition (100% fully charged).
- The CIPM Management prohibits materials lying around you while taking the online test. To avoid issues with the board, ensure that there are no materials or books/persons lying around you or within a short space of you, phones, other gadgets/smart devices or anything that gives off as malpractice is found within 360-degree scanning of your environment.
- Please perform all guided pre-test activities listed on the official CIPM site where you will be taking the online test. Ensure there is enough light in the room.
- Ensure your environment is quiet, kindly put all devices away, including calculators. Where a calculator is required, use the calculator available on your system.
- This test is automatically monitored, meaning that any violation you do will be recorded against you.
- You are required to enter your Username and Password before you can access the CIPM test platform.
- Kindly go to https://testclient.fot.com.ng/test, and enter your username and password in their appropriate boxes, proceed and start date and time. The notification below will be displayed if you fail to log in at the test date and start time stated: “You are not currently scheduled for an assessment.”
- Take note that your Username is not case-sensitive, Unlike the password, which is case-sensitive. Once you’ve successfully logged in, click on the “Take Test” button to commence your test.
- Once you’ve logged in, I’d recommend you read the instructions and click on the link specified on the testing platform to launch your assessment, you will be required to type in your password a second time. It is essential to disclose here that once you’ve launched the test site, access to all other applications on your computer system will be restricted, make sure you have your password ready.
- All applications that use a webcam should be closed before launching test such as Skype, MS Teams, Zoom, etc
- Once your test has launched and started, a timer will automatically be on display at the top-right corner of the screen, indicating the total time left to complete the test.
- DO NOT at any time leave or move your face away from your computer. To avoid violating the rules and regulations of CIPM.
- A preview of your video feed will be shown at the bottom right. Always ensure your face is properly aligned with your camera to avoid getting your test cancelled.
- For the multiple-choice assessments, there would be question numbers at the bottom of your screen which would change colour as you progress through the test.
- Questions that you have not answered will show a red colour, indicating that you are yet to answer the question, while green indicates a question that has been answered.
- After answering all the questions and submitting it, a display on the screen will read “Test Submitted Successfully”. However, if after submitting your answers it shows an “Error in submission” notification at the end of the test, this may likely be a result of a poor internet connection. Do not close the test window. Try to submit again while ensuring that your network is stable.
