How to Check WAEC GCE Result Online.
STEP 1: The first step is to visit the WAEC result checking portal @ www.waecdirect.org.
STEP 2: When the portal loads up, type in your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number. (This is your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number eg. 4123456789)
STEP 3: Select your Examination Year eg. 2023
STEP 4: Select the Type of Examination i.e. PRIVATE CANDIDATE RESULT.
STEP 5: Select Examination Type e.g “May/June”
STEP 6: In the box provided, type in your Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card.
STEP 7: Type in the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card.
STEP 8: Finally, click on the Submit button and wait for the portal to load your result.
CRUCIAL NOTE: Candidates seeking to check their WAEC GCE result should note that the result checker PIN and Serial Number that you need to check your result online is contained on your Smart Identity Card that you used during the examination.
IMPORTANT TIPS: Know that you can only use your result checker 5 times, so be wise and ensure you print out numerous copies of your result.

Before implementing this method on how to check your WAEC GCE result, do note that only MTN, Glo and Airtel subscribers can check their WAEC Results using the SMS method in Nigeria.

How to Check Via Serial Number.
- Make sure the device you are using, either your PC or mobile smartphone is connected to the internet.
- Next, visit the WAEC GCE result checking website at www.waecdirect.org
- Type in your 10-digit WAEC Examination number.
- Type in the Serial Number as shown on your smartcard.
- Select your Examination year.
- Click on Check my WAEC Result.
Important Note: It’s mandatory that you adhere strictly to the format above when checking your GCE result via SMS. There should be no space in the message.
